Info

The Least House Necessary is a sustainable design workshop that challenges participants on low-energy design and what they need to live comfortably in Queensland. It considers housing sustainability from an environmental, social and economic perspective, and urges participants to understand what The Least House Necessary means to them.

For Educators: Relevant connections to the Graphics (Built Environment Design with a focus on the Design Factors of Sustainability and User Centred Design) and the Home Economics (individuals, families and communities with a focus on housing choices) syllabuses will be explored and discussed throughout the workshop.

The Least House Necessary was developed by People Oriented Design in 2011.
