Green Ladder Panel Discussion

Sherman Contemporary Art Foundation (SCAF) in partnership with multi-award winning architectural firm BVN, presents Vo Trong Nghia Architects’s Green Ladder (2016) as Asia Pacific Architecture Forum’s cornerstone structure.

Commissioned by SCAF and BVN - and initially installed in the forecourt of the State Library of Queensland (SLQ), Green Ladder will leap frog to Sydney in June 2016 - finding its core home in SCAF’s Paddington courtyard garden.

Vo Trong Nghia (Director and Founder, Vo Trong Nghia Architects), James Grose (BVN National Director), Sandra Kaji-O’Grady (Head of School and Dean of Architecture, University of Queensland), and Gene Sherman (SCAF’s Executive Director) will explore and discuss Vo’s practice, with special emphasis on his innovative use of simple, locally found materials – including bamboo, stone and earth.
